Other Advice & Insights
How Rude!
Despite popular belief, Parisians are not rude. They are formal and reserved, which can come off as unfriendly - they aren't. Know how to say hello and thanks in French - it goes a long way!
Tipping
Gratuity is included in the bill by law. If your service was stellar, feel free to leave a few extra Euro - a few coins will do. You should also round up taxi fare and always tip your tour guides.
No Photos!
Taking photos all the time is frowned upon. Some stores straight up ban photos and it's rude to take pics of store merchandise. And PLEASE - don't stop traffic to take a photo by the Arc de Trimophe!
Budgeting
A reasonable budget for those opting for midrange travels (public transportation, casual restaurants, standard hotel) is €150-250 a day. Prices will vary depending on your preferences!
